Saturday, February 15th, RSS Art students participated in the Regional VASE, or Visual Arts Scholastic Event, at Klein Collins High School in Spring. 48 students competed with 73 pieces of artwork. 41 of those pieces received a top score of "4"!
Congratulations to the following Art students who advanced to the State VASE:
• Cindy Li- Division 1, 11th Grade, Teacher: Rebecca Carroll
o (This is Cindy's second time to advance to State!)
• Courtney Infante- Division 2, Grade 11, Teacher: Annie Watson
• Clay Kogut- Divison 4, Grade 11, Teacher: Annie Watson
o (This is Clay's 2nd time to advance to State, he also has 2 pieces of Artwork that will advance this year!)
• Oziel Mota- Division 4, Grade 12, Teacher: Annie Watson
These 4 students will compete against top art students from around the State of Texas in Bryan/College Station, April 4th and 5th!

Congratulations to 11th Grade Art Student Clay Kogut, who’s artwork has been selected to hang at the 2014 TAEA Texas State Youth Art Month Exhibit! Clay’s artwork will be on display at the State Capital in Austin, March 1-7, and the Bob Bullock Museum, March 9-24.
