How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
Technology is a large part of my instruction. A borrowed set of classroom iPads help me to differentiate for my GT students. In addition, I use iPads to help my ESL students advance in reading and writing. I use several apps: Seesaw, Doodlebuddy, Chatterpix, and math apps too!

How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?

Technology allows me to extend lessons for students and provides an incentive for reluctant writers. Classroom iPads are helpful to have GT students participate in meaningful extension activities such as Genius Hour where they choose a topic to research and create a graphic organizer using Popple Lite or a product using Chatterpix.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
I love classroom iPads and the apps because I can quickly differentiate and engage students.

What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
I would LOVE a classroom set of iPads that stay in my room for students to use!

What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love seeing students make connections and become excited about learning.

Nominated by:
Melissa MaddenTruncale, Teacher - Clark Elementary "Mrs. Circello was intrigued by the SeeSaw training we went to this summer. Though unsure at first as how to integrate it successfully in a first grade classroom, she has now completely jumped in and is using it several times a week! It has increased the rigor in her classroom as well as the interest level. I know the parents in her class are excited to see the work their students are doing in a different format."
