How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?

Educational Technology is used as a break from the monotony of traditional paper and pen math worksheets. Everyday at least one piece of educational technology is used inside my classroom: whether it be Desmos for graphing functions or simply using my AppleTV to screen mirror notes being written in Notability.

How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?

I find technology in the classroom helpful because it provides a means of differentiation. I can integrate technology into lessons based on what my students’ needs may be. Technology also keeps students engaged and active in their learning.

What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?

My favorite Piece of Technology is the entire Google Suite. Google Classroom keeps assignments organized, Google Drive keeps all of my digital copies in organized folders and allows for collaboration on different campuses easily, Gmail keeps me up to date with late work being turned in, Google Forms and Slides are the basis for all my digital escape rooms!

What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?

TI-Nspire Rovers. I would love to be able to extend the usefulness of our TI Nspire calculators by giving students the opportunity to learn basic coding knowledge.

What Do You Love Most About Teaching?

Interacting with students while building relationships and learning alongside them. It makes me happy to observe what their interests are so that I can try to incorporate that into lessons that engage them.
