How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
I use technology every single day in my classroom. I do everything through Notability as far as teaching goes.
My current favorite thing to use in the classroom is Teachermade. It is a website where teachers can upload
pdfs and make them interactive for students. You can allow students to check their work which has been very
beneficial for RARE days in math.
How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
I love that technology allows me to monitor my students progress on their assignments in real time. I am able
to adjust my lessons on the fly as needed and make learning more engaging.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
By far my favorite piece of classroom technology is the apple tv. I use it every single day so that I am not tied to
the board while teaching. It creates movement and freedom in the classroom for me as the teacher to monitor
students while still giving direct instruction. It also allows for all seating to be “preferential” seating. Students
who may need to sit in the back because they distract others can, because I can teach from the back of the
room if I need to.
What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
- Extra chargers (10 ft) for students to be able to charge their iPads as we use them daily
- Subscription to Teachermade, IXL, and problem attic
- Stylus pens for my students to be able to “write” on their screen while working digitally/taking CUA’s
What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love building relationships with students. These kids are hilarious when you really get to know them!
What is one thing you would like to add to your tech wish list? We might be able to get it for you.
My Teachermade account is about to expire from a free trial. I would love the year long subscription for $80. It
allows me to turn any assignment into a self checking assignment. It limits the number of copies I need to
make, saving me time and money.

She uses TeacherMade for practice assignments to ensure students are getting immediate feedback. She also utilizes the engaging aspect of Quizizz to work with students. Ms. Oneill even encourages the students by giving them candy if they beat her in Quizizz. When she is not using technology with students, she is using her iPad to screen mirror and using Notability to annotate daily notes and practice.”
