Welcome to the Peter E. Hyland Center!

Peter Hyland Center is an alternative high school campus of choice for Goose Creek CISD students. PHC provides the opportunity to build stronger relationships between the teachers, staff, and students; lower student to teacher ratios that allow for more individualized instruction and intervention; the capacity to allow students to move at an accelerated pace to earn credits more quickly and to transition to other courses more flexibly throughout the school year; and post secondary discussions that help students' transition.

About Dr. Times

Dr. Tricia Times was named Principal of Point Alternative Center in 2016. She is a retired United States Air Force Reserve Master Sergeant with 19 years of experience in education.

Dr. Times has served as a Special Education teacher, Educational Diagnostician, Special Education Coordinator and an Assistant Principal. Dr Times earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice; Masters of Education in Special Education, Superintendent Certification and Educational Doctoral in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

I am very proud to serve as the principal of Peter E Hyland Center . I have an unwavering commitment to working with at-risk students. My goal is to impact every student that I come in contact with by providing a nurturing learning environment that enhances social and emotional development.
