Alamo Elementary Counselor

Welcome Eagles and visitors!

About Me
About Me:
I am truly excited and honored to serve as the School Counselor at Alamo and to join the Eagle family! This will be my fourth year as an Elementary School Counselor and my 19th year as an Educator. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University and furthered my education by earning a Master’s in School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas.
I have lived in the Crosby-Barrett community with my husband and two amazing kids for the past 20 years, and my family is my world. I spent nine of my 19 years in education serving as an educator within the Crosby-Barrett community. My passion lies in educating the Whole Child, and I am dedicated to continuing that mission here in GCCISD.
My Philosophy:
My counseling philosophy is student-centered and focuses on the “whole child.” Specifically, my mission is to serve the families of Alamo Elementary by fostering future leaders through a positive school guidance curriculum. To achieve this, I strive to create a safe environment that nurtures a love of learning, empowers every student, and cultivates a growth mindset. Above all, my goal is to ensure that every student feels heard and valued.
I look forward to soaring to new heights together with the Alamo family!
