Also, a big thank you to Ms. Abramski and Ms. Stewart for being there to support our students. We have some amazing Travis Tigers!

Mr. Clem playing Taps at our Veterans Day Program

Travis Elementary had the pleasure of listening to Mr. Richard Clem, GCCISD Board member, play Taps for our recent Veteran's Day program. It was a beautiful way to end the production that Mr. Hinton and our 4th and 5th grade choir students presented to parents, students, and staff. Thank you to all of our veterans!

teachers presenting math fact fluency to parents

On November 19, 2024, 3rd-5th grade Tiger parents, were invited to join us for a brief training on how to support their students at home with "New Math" skills and strategies. The presenters walked parents through a few multiplication strategies, as well as taught them ways to engage their students with fact fluency practice in order to be more successful with these important foundational skills. All participants left the session with the link to the presentation to refer back to, a set of flash cards, and a hundreds chart to help their student at home. A big thank you to the parents who attended and to our presenters, Mrs. Guilbeau, Mrs. Cormier, and Ms. Uptegrove, for providing this valuable training for our familes!
