The GCCISD Agriscience Center was redesigned as part of the 2013 bond projects. The new facility includes
- 2 classrooms,
- a practice arena,
- separate hog, lamb/goat, and cattle barns, each with their own wash, groom and feed areas,
- student locker rooms, and
- large equipment storage areas.
The FFA Officers received the keys to the facility in August 2018. The FFA students from GCM, REL, RSS, and SCTHS held a joint Chapter Meeting on September 29th, combined with a Grand Opening Festival. Keynote Speaker Terry Sain, a former Baytown City Councilman and FFA student himself, spoke to the students about PRIDE and how that sense of pride can drive the FFA students to become very successful citizens of the future. After the joint FFA meeting was closed, students, teachers, and guests participated in Stick Horse Races, Rope Making, Calf Roping, Face Painting, and Super-Sliding. The Baytown Youth Fair was present to talk about their events, and Mr. Kevin Parker, former GCCISD CTE Director, talked to students and parents about the many certifications that students can earn in their Agriculture Science classes.

On December 3, 2019, the GCCISD Agriscience Center was officially renamed the John D. George Agriscience Center. Mr. George was an agriculture science teacher and FFA Advisor for Ross S. Sterling HS from 1974-1996. He chartered the RSS FFA chapter in 1974 and his dedication to his students and the principles of FFA was clearly demonstrated through the many FFA pennants and awards won by his chapter members. He gave back to his community in countless ways and Mr. George's legacy lives on through his family and students who pursued careers in education and agriculture, continuing his "living to serve" mindset.
