How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
Technology plays a critical role in my classroom because it enhances my students’ engagement and motivation. My students enjoy a variety of technology-based activities that I integrate into learning to help them build their skills in writing, reading, and language acquisition.
How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
The technology available for my students help to differentiate my lessons and meet my students’ needs. I love seeing my students engaging in meaningful learning through apps on their iPads. ActivInspire is a great tool to help guide my students through lesson. Students love to jump in the lesson and show their knowledge and thinking process on the Promethean Board. Without Technology we would not be as effective with Online Learning as we are now.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
My students’ iPads are my favorite piece of technology. They utilize apps like Seesaw, ChatterPix, SummitK12, and Classkick which engages them, allows them to be creative and improve their skills. These apps build their self-confidence in knowing they are taking an active role in their own learning. I love that they can select a book from their Epic account and build their reading comprehension. My students enjoy reviewing skills and playing games like Kahoot, Quizziz, and Gimkit. There are many ways to be interactive with students using their iPads that insure an enriched learning environment.
What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
My wish is to get one of the more updated Promethean Boards. My students and I use this tool daily.
What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
The thing I love most about teaching is my students. I love when they come into my room ready to learn and I learn from them as well. I enjoy building relationships with my students. I inspire them to reach for the stars and have goals for their future. They are a true inspiration to me. I love knowing I make a difference in someone’s life every day.

"Ms. Fudge is very enthusiastic when it comes to integrating technology into her classroom. Her enthusiasm not only shows with her students, but it is also evident with her peers when she shares new ideas using technology with other teachers. An example of a tool she uses to encourage her ESL students to practice speaking English is ChatterPix. This app allows the students to be risk takers when using a language they are not always confident with. It also allows the students to demonstrate their knowledge in a new way, rather than just through traditional methods."
