How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?

Technology is used daily in my classes through Google Classroom, Blackboard, Notability, Pearson MyLab, Google Jamboard, Google Forms, Quizizz, and Desmos.

How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?

Using Google Classroom is extremely helpful. It keeps assignments organized for my students but also for myself. When a student is absent, they can easily see what was done in class the day before or what assignments they are missing.

What is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom?  Why?

Some classroom computers would be nice. iPads are amazing tools, but there are times when my dual credit students struggle with using the graphing tools in Pearson MyLab that work better on a computer with a mouse.

What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?

My favorite piece of technology is Desmos. The graphing calculator is easy for students to use since it can be accessed on iPad with a touch screen. Desmos can also be used to build activities. It’s nice when a program is build for teaching math and typing equations.

What Do You Love Most About Teaching?

Getting to know my students and building relationships. I teach 11th and 12th grade students, and I love hearing about their goal and plans after high school.

What is One Thing You Would Like to Add To Your Tech Wish List?

I would like the paid version of Quizizz. (For all Lee High School Staff if possible)
