How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
I use educational technology to present information, check for student understanding, assess student needs in real time, give feedback, retain the attention of the students, and as a way for the students to display their knowledge in a variety of ways.
How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
It allows for interaction throughout the lessons and immediate assessment so if I need to reteach, I can do it right then and there.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
My favorite piece of classroom technology is Pear Deck and Google Slides with the iPad. Pear Deck is a way to engage our students in lecture, as well as practice and prepare them for the new types of STAAR questions. Google Slides provides us with multiple ways to create assignments.
What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
Charging stations because students don't always bring their iPads charged to class.
What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love when students make the connection of a historical event or person and the impact they or it still has in todays world.
