How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
Educational Technology plays a significant role in my classroom as it enhances the learning experience for my students in various ways. Some of these ways are by organizing their notes and making them readily available at any time, including at school or at home. It gives them access to multiple resources that can extend their learning further than just the 7th grade curriculum. The last way it helps is by promoting real-time feedback in the classroom. I can view their screen on mine and help whether I am near them or on the other side of the room working with other students.

How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
Technology in the classroom helps the students collaborate easily and prepares them for assessments that are given online by the district or the state. I firmly believe that math should be done on paper, but inside my classroom we make the adjustments needed to keep up to date with technology. Students have the tendency to try doing math inside their head, but by teaching them strategies to simply just view the questions online and then write down all key information to solve. It enhances student success in math class.

What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
My favorite piece of technology is my promethean board and the apple tv. These are the two pieces of technology that I cannot go a day without using inside my classroom. I love the ability to share my screen with my students while walking around monitoring their screens. I am able to point out information without standing in front of the screen blocking the view of some of my students.

What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
Either a Swivel or iPad Keyboard.  The swivel for teaching or self-reflection purposes. There are times where I like to go back and help my mentee or team members on how to execute a lesson for their students and without watching me do, it is hard to just explain to them. It is also nice to see where a lesson went wrong if I need to.  The iPad keyboard because I can type tremendously faster on it with my school issued iPad and I would love one for my personal iPad.  It would help while writing papers as I attend Lamar University to complete my master's degree.

What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives and empower them with knowledge. I try to inspire, motivate, and shape young minds by fostering a love for learning and help them reach their full potential. Building trusting relationships with my students and watching them succeed has become deeply rewarding. Math can be "fun", and I do my best daily to show them.

What is one thing you would like to add to your tech wish list?
Either the swivel or ipad keyboard.
