How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
Technology plays a vital role in my classroom because it increases my students’ engagement and motivation.   My students enjoy a variety of technology-based activities that I integrate into which builds their writing, reading, and language acquisition.

How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
The technology available for my students helps differentiate my lessons to meet my students' needs.   I love seeing my students engage in meaningful learning through apps on their iPads.  Without Technology, we would not be as effective with our Online Learning as we are now.

What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
My students' iPads are my favorite piece of technology.   My students use apps like Seesaw, ChatterPix, SummitK-12, Dreamscape, Boddle, and Progress Learning which interest them, allowing their creativity and skills to improve.   These apps build their self-confidence as they take an active role in their learning.   I love they can self-select books from their own Epic account and build their reading comprehension.   My students enjoy reviewing skills and playing games like Kahoot, Quizziz, and Gimkit.  There are many ways to be interactive with students using their iPads that ensure an enriched learning environment.

What Is on Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
My wish list for my classroom would be to have a class set of stylus pens.   As an educator I could personalize their learning experience and encourage active learning by allowing students to write, draw, collaborate, take notes, sketch and annotate.

What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
The thing I love most about teaching are the students.  I love when they come into my room ready to learn.  We learn from each other.  I enjoy building a relationship with my students that inspire them to reach for the stars and set goals for their future.   They are a true inspiration to me.  I love having the opportunity to make a difference in each of their lives every day.

What is one thing you would like to add to you tech wish list?

A classroom set of stylus pens.

Nominated by:

Mrs. Eastman: "Ms. Fudge utilizes technology each day in her classroom to support her EB students' acquisition and practice of the English language. She creates assignments in Seesaw for her students to complete so she can formatively assess their progress and offer feedback. She utilizes digital images and short videos in her lessons for her students to have visuals to support their learning. She creates stations for her students to work independently and one of her stations has been K-12 Summit in the past. Ms. Fudge would use the program to assign lessons the student needs based on their TELPAS scores. She frequently monitors their data in Eduphoria so she can assure they are receiving the instruction at the level they need. She shares and models how she creates her lessons with our NAC teacher as well as our Read 180 teacher. Ms. Fudge encourages them to utilize technology with their students because she has seen the success it has offered her students in her classroom. She has utilized google classroom and google slides throughout her lessons and her students are able to manipulate the programs on their own to support their learning."
