Educational technology plays a crucial role in my classroom by enhancing engagement, personalizing learning, and providing instant feedback. It allows me to create interactive lessons, foster creativity, and help students develop essential digital skills. Technology also enables me to differentiate instruction, making learning more accessible for all students.
How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful? Technology in the classroom is incredibly valuable as it boosts student engagement and makes learning more interactive. By incorporating digital tools, students are more motivated, retain information more effectively, and develop a deeper understanding of the material.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
iPads are my favorite classroom tool because they are versatile, portable, and boost student engagement. They support interactive learning, personalized instruction, and foster creativity, making lessons more dynamic and hands-on.
What Is On Your Technology Wish List For Your Classroom? Why?
A class set of styluses is on my technology wish list because they would enhance student engagement and interactivity. Styluses allow students to take handwritten notes, draw diagrams, and annotate digital content, improving understanding and retention. They also support creative problem-solving, especially in subjects like math and science, where visualizing concepts is key. Styluses foster collaboration, allowing students to work together on shared digital platforms, and enable personalized learning by letting students highlight, color-code, and organize their notes. Overall, they would create a more dynamic and hands-on learning experience.
What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love teaching because it allows me to make a meaningful impact on my students' growth and learning. Watching students have "Aha!" moments and building lasting relationships with them is incredibly rewarding. Sharing my passion for learning and knowing I’m shaping their future makes teaching truly fulfilling.
