How Does Educational Technology Play a Role in Your Classroom?
Educational technology plays an important role in my classroom by boosting my instruction, helping my students to stay engaged, and supporting the various learning needs of my students. Technology is a very helpful tool for differentiation both for providing support and extra practice for my strugglers and offering enrichment to my higher achievers.
How Do You Find Technology in the Classroom Helpful?
Technology is helpful in that it makes organizing my lessons easier. It also is an amazing data and progress monitoring tool that allows me to quickly assess and identify areas of need to guide my instruction.
What Is Your Favorite Piece of Classroom Technology? Why?
My favorite piece of classroom technology is the student/teacher iPads. I like them because they allow for interactive lessons and active student participation. With my math lessons, I can create a Peardeck with interactive slides throughout the lesson that helps improve my students' understanding and focus. Additionally, this technology allows me to quickly adjust my lesson based on student responses.
What Do You Love Most About Teaching?
I love watching my students grow academically and personally throughout the year. It is rewarding to see my students gain confidence and discover a love for learning. I love being able to make a positive impact on my students' lives. I also love helping my fellow educators learn more about and grow confident in their technology use in their own classrooms.
