About Me

I am beyond excited to be at Clark as the counselor and I look forward to serving the students, staff, and families in the community!

I am a Houston native and grew up not far from Baytown. I graduated from Texas Tech University and received my Master's in Education and School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. My husband and I have been blessed with two beautiful daughters. We love camping, hiking, and cooking as a family.

My goal for the school year is to build relationships and encourage all students to reach their highest potential. I will focus on the social emotional needs of the students to ensure they are able to make the most of their educational experience. I love the commitment of the district to develop the whole child and I aim to continue that important work at Clark Elementary.

It is going to be a spectacular year on the Ranch!

Character trait education is a continuous process at Clark. Our character traits are respect, responsibility, gratitude, empathy, perseverance, honesty, cooperation, courage, and creativity. Students who display an outstanding job of the trait are honored at a character breakfast celebration.

Clark's Counseling Program is a Comprehensive Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program which includes the ASCA National four components designed to meet our student’s needs and promote student achievement:

  • Guidance Curriculum- Whole-group lessons on a variety of topics including core values and character traits with students.
  • Individual Student Planning- Academic and career guidance; parent and student consultation regarding planning and goal-setting.
  • Responsive Services- Individual counseling sessions; parent consultations regarding individual student needs.
  • System Support- Includes program and staff support activities and services.
