Dear Hopper Family,
My name is Lindsey Singla, and I am absolutely delighted to continue serving as your principal for my second year at Hopper! This is my 16th year in education, and along the way I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles—including teacher, athletic director, coach, director of a special education school, assistant principal, and principal.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois and my master’s degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. Although I spent most of my life in Illinois, my family and I were blessed to move to Texas in 2022, where I joined GCCISD.
A little about me outside of school—I love spending time with my family and traveling. My daughter is 8, my son is 7, and we also have two fun-loving dogs who keep us on our toes!
As your principal, I believe wholeheartedly that every child is capable of learning and being successful. My job—along with our amazing Hopper staff—is to create an environment that supports students, builds strong foundational skills and inspires them to become lifelong learners.
I am so proud to be the Hopper Principal, and I can’t wait to continue having fun while learning alongside each of you. Here’s to another year full of growth, teamwork, and lots of Hopper spirit!
