I have proudly served Goose Creek CISD in a variety of roles, including kindergarten teacher, special education resource teacher, 504 coordinator, and assistant principal. Each position has strengthened my commitment to supporting students, families, and staff and has shaped my passion for early learning.
My family moved to the area when I was a sophomore in high school, and Sterling High School quickly became my second home. After graduating, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University. Many years later, I completed a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Outside of school, I am an intensely proud Tennessee Volunteer mom. My daughter, Graycen, is an Honors Finance major at the University of Tennessee. Next fall, you might spot her on SEC Nation or high above the crowd on the Neyland Stadium jumbotron. UT certainly knows how to turn on that SEC charm. Graycen and I love summer and holiday vacations and try to pack as much fun as possible into each trip. Our current favorite destinations include London, New York City, and New Orleans.
Stepping into this role is truly an honor, and I could not be more excited to be part of a place where wonder, discovery, and joy are part of everyday life. Early learning is such a magical time, full of firsts and incredible growth, and I am passionate about creating a space where every child feels safe, loved, and inspired to explore the world around them.
