I encourage you to send your child to school daily. In order for students to perform at their best, they should be well rested, eat healthy balanced meals and practice healthy habits. We work diligently to keep all students safe and healthy during the school day. Please help us to keep all our students safe and healthy by keeping your child home if he/she is displaying symptoms of illness. This will help to prevent the spread any infection or illness amongst our students.
Students should be kept at home for the following reasons:
- Temperature of 100 degrees or above within the past 24 hours
- Diarrhea and/or vomiting more than once within the past 24 hours
- Red eye with drainage
- Ringworm on the scalp
- Intense itching with open lesions or signs of secondary infection
- Open lesions that are draining
- Undetermined rash
Also, any student who has a temperature of 100 degrees or above should remain at home for at least 24 hours free of fever without the benefit of Tylenol or Motrin before returning to school, unless a physician’s statement indicating otherwise is presented.
Le animo a que envíen a su hijo/a a la escuela todos los días. Para que los estudiantes se desempeñen lo mejor posible, deben descansar bien, comer comidas saludables y balanceadas y practicar hábitos saludables. Trabajamos diligentemente para mantener a todos los estudiantes seguros y saludables durante el día escolar. Ayúdenos a mantener a todos nuestros estudiantes seguros y saludables manteniendo a su hijo/a en casa si muestra síntomas de enfermedad. Esto ayudará a prevenir la propagación de cualquier infección o enfermedad entre nuestros estudiantes.
Los estudiantes deben quedarse en casa por las siguientes razones:
• Temperatura de 100 grados o más en las últimas 24 horas
• Diarrea y/o vómitos más de una vez en las últimas 24 horas
• Ojo rojo con drenaje
• Tiña en el cuero cabelludo (Ringworm)
• Comezón intenso con lesiones abiertas o signos de infección secundaria
• Lesiones abiertas que están drenando
• Erupción indeterminada
Además, cualquier estudiante que tenga una temperatura de 100 grados o más debe permanecer en casa durante al menos 24 horas sin fiebre sin el beneficio de Tylenol o Motrin antes de regresar a la escuela, a menos que se presente una declaración del médico que indique lo contrario.
