Ms. Ochoa is a proud graduate of Lee High School, class of '09. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Houston - Clear Lake, she began her career in education at Sterling High School teaching Biology for 5 years. During those years, she served as Science Department Head and Sheltered Instruction Department Head, among other campus leadership roles. She was recognized as the District ESL Teacher of the Year, HAABE Teacher of the Year for the greater Houston area, GCCISD Giant Staff Member of the Month in 2022, and a Top "40 Under 40" member by The Baytown Sun. She went on to obtain her master's degree in Educational Management from UHCL in 2024 before beginning her role as an Assistant Principal at Lee High School. Ms. Ochoa has a passion for student success, fostering a positive educational environment and culture, and growing Giants in our district.
