About Me
I am thrilled to return to Stephen F. Austin Elementary to serve our community as the principal. The 2025-2026 school year will be my 12th in education and my 6th in GCCISD. Though I’m not from the Baytown area, I grew up not far away. I attended school in Deer Park and graduated from Deer Park High School before earning my bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) and my master's in education from Lamar University. I am now currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I am focusing my research on teacher preparation pathways. My goal as an educator is to create a safe and equitable environment where all students can succeed in and out of the classroom. I hope to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally as they develop and prepare for life after Austin Elementary.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, cycling, and exploring state parks with my husband and our two dogs.
I am here to serve our students, teachers, and families, so please reach out anytime with questions or concerns.
