“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” – Colin Powell
At Highlands Junior, our goal is to instill in students a simple but powerful belief: they have the ability to shape their own future through preparation, perseverance, and determination.
I am honored to serve as the principal of Highlands Junior School. I started my career in public education in 2006, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles—beginning as a substitute teacher and later as a classroom teacher, family involvement coordinator, assistant principal, and most recently, principal of San Jacinto Elementary.
As a proud product of Goose Creek schools, I attended San Jacinto Elementary, Baytown Junior, and Ross S. Sterling High School. Being deeply rooted in the Baytown community, I am committed to giving back to the district that helped shape my own educational journey.
At Highlands Junior, I look forward to working alongside our students, families, and staff to ensure every student has the tools and confidence to succeed—not only here, but also as they prepare for high school and beyond.
