About me
I joined Victoria Walker Elementary in 2023 as the assistant principal. I began my teaching career at Bowie Elementary in 2007, where I taught 4th grade English Language Arts before transitioning to teach K–5 Visual Art. I also have a long history with Goose Creek—I attended Goose Creek schools and graduated from Sterling High School in 1991. I am proud to be a product of GCCISD and to serve the community that helped shape me.
I believe deeply in the power of public education. My goal as a leader is to foster a positive school culture that supports both teachers and students. I view education as a transformative tool, with literacy as its foundation, and I hold firmly to the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to become a successful reader. I love my role in leadership because it allows me to positively impact student growth, support teacher development, and strengthen our campus culture.
I value strong partnerships with parents and community stakeholders and believe these relationships are essential to creating an environment where students thrive.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach, creating chalk art, and reading.
