I am excited to start a new school year at Baytown Junior as the 6th Grade Assistant Principal. I want to support our 6th grade class grow academically and socially, and prepare them for high school. I have served 6 years as a classroom teacher for English and social studies at the middle school and high school levels, and 7 years as secondary assistant principal. I love watching students grow into their identity and discover their passions and career interests.

I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Arkansas in Spanish and International Relations. After 3 years in the classroom, I decided to follow in my family's footsteps and become a third generation Aggie grad and earned my Master's in Education Administration from Texas A&M. Gig 'Em Aggies!

I enjoy getting to know my students and their families and partner with them throughout their educational career. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and when we all work together and support each other, our students and community can thrive. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and cannot wait to see the transformation of our incoming 6th grade students throughout their middle school journey.
