Baytown Junior Orchestra is like one big family, we make music fun and we care about each other.
We have two main goals for both orchestras this year:
- Be best of the bests. There are many excellent orchestras in the state of Texas. I believe to be the best, we need total commitment and dedication from me and students. Our priority stays the same, winning sweepstakes in Orchestra UIL.
- Be part of Goslin Orchestra Family. Orchestra students need to have a sense of belonging of a place they could call second home at school and care about each other.
Parents are the most important component in making a success in our orchestra program. Your endless support and encouragement provide the inspiration to our organization. To perform better in a group needs some a great supportive role from the parents at home. The topics of instrument practice, concert performance, region and UIL contests should be brought to the dinner table; encourage and praise your child for their effort and achievement. Most important of all, reward them with what I call "Happy Meal" that consists of essential joy and pleasure in our celebrated lives.
I personally always feel motivated by the words from parents about how much the orchestra program has improved and excelled. I have only one promise for all the orchestra parents: your child will learn the joy of making music and this music will run joyously in your family for an indefinite time.
