My role at IMPACT: I am a long term substitute in the Learning Lab. This year, I am not only responsible for learning lab students but also for the students in the Virtual Academy and a few of the original credit Edgenuity students.
My philosophy about education: It is my belief that each child has a natural form of curiosity, a desire to explore and a will to learn new things. I feel my calling is to accept all students with an open mind and help them on their journey through my subject area as best as possible with respect to their given needs. To help full fill their hopes of a successful school year and also to advance their educational process along with their maturing process.
My work experience: I retired after teaching in GCCISD for 36 years in 2015. I started substituting in 2017 and came back substituting at IMPACT fulltime in 2019.
A little something about me: Some of my favorite pass times include spending time with my family, traveling, dancing, reading, and trying out different cafes.
What I want you to know about IMPACT ECHS: I feel IMPACT is a wonderful place for students and has the capacity for greatness if given the opportunity and resources to truly meet it original intent. The Faculty are extremely dedicated to each and every student and strive to insure each student reaches their highest potential.
Interesting facts about me: I once sang back up for Dennis Ivy and the Waymen.My favorite color is purple but graduating from Lee High School and Texas A&M Maroon is second best favorite.Seeing my grand sons, seeing, beautiful flowers, a gorgeous day a beach or a picture of the beach and puppies make my heart sing.I am a very positive person and I try to treat all with respect and expect to be treated the same. I try not to interrupt others while they are talking and don't like it when I am interrupted. I was taught that as a child.
