About Me

Hello Hawks! My name is Yvette Marquez, and it is an honor to join the Highlands Hawks family this year. I am a Registered Nurse and a graduate of Tarleton State University (Texas A&M University System) attaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and a minor in Biology. It is my privilege to be able to serve the students, families and staff of Highlands Elementary as your school nurse.

My family and I have lived all over the country as a proud military family. And two years ago, we decided to come back home to be closer to family, settle and grow our roots back where we started. I have been married for 20 years to my Marine husband, who also works for GCCISD, and we have 3 amazing kids (David-9th grade, Madelyn-5th grade, and Lucas-Pre-K2). We have a German Shepherd named Greta, a cat named Branch, a turtle name Lucky, and a chicken named Oreo.

My goal as your school nurse is to see all students succeed by promoting a happy, healthy and safe school year with our Highlands Hawks!
