Mrs. Ashby has given 20 plus years to education. During that time, she has taught math and served in the role of administrator at both the campus and district levels.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Iowa State University, and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University. Her love for learning comes out daily in her work and leadership qualities. She believes that every child has a purpose and future that can be molded with support and love.

I have been dedicated to education since 2009 and have served in the Goose Creek community since 2015, most recently as an instructional coach for Social Studies. I hold a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Houston and a Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

I believe that education is a collaborative journey that empowers students to discover their unique strengths and passions. My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where all students feel valued and inspired to reach their full potential. I am committed to integrating innovative teaching methods and promoting critical thinking, ensuring that each student is equipped with the skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Hello Gators!  I am truly honored to serve as the 8th grade Assistant Principal at Horace Mann Jr. High.  I grew up in Louisiana and I have more than 20 years in education, most of which were spent at Lee High School.  I have a background in Social Studies and coaching High School Soccer. 

I look forward to guiding the scholars of Horace Mann toward success in their academic endeavors. I believe in building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders in the life of our young scholars. I am excited to serve the high performing campus of Horace Mann and to continue to build on the awesome success demonstrated by the campus.  Let’s Go Gators!
