Mrs. Ashby has given 20 plus years to education. During that time, she has taught math and served in the role of administrator at both the campus and district levels. 2021-2022 starts her 17th year in Goose Creek. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Iowa State University, and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University. Her love for learning comes out daily in her work and leadership qualities. She believes that every child has a purpose and future that can be molded with support and love.

Hello! I am excited to begin my 13th year in Goose Creek. I am a product of Goose Creek and am proud to serve HMJ Gator families as the 7th grade administrator. I come from a home of educators and believe that knowledge is power. I believe that every child can learn and I believe in our Goose Creek mission of developing the whole child. Here at Horace Mann, our shared vision is a collaborative effort between staff, students and parents to create a safe, structured learning environment that celebrates student achievements and empowers students to pursue their dreams by utilizing a mindset of hard work, positivity, high expectations, and Gator pride. Mr. Credeur is a native of the Baytown area, where he graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree in Music from Lee College. He then attended Lamar University for his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Music Education. Upon completion of his masters degree, he continued his learning and earned a post-graduate principal certification from Lamar University as well. Mr. Credeur is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education, in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University, Commerce. Mr. Credeur began his Career as the Director of Bands and Fine Arts supervisor for Orangefield ISD. With a desire to impact more students and teachers beyond fine arts, He began his role in campus administration at Silsbee High School as the Assistant Principal for Dual-Credit and Career and Technology Education. As an educator, he believes that students are unique and valuable, and EVERY student deserves professionals who believe in their success. It is his goal as a campus leader to provide every support to ensure each Horace Mann Gator achieves success. With a knowledge that each student may find a differing educational path after high school, it is his focus to prepare each student with the skills needed to make the next step in grade level, high school, and post secondary education.
