My name is Courtney Flores, and I am honored to serve as your Student Support Administrator this year. I bring thirteen years of experience in educational leadership and a deep passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in Houston, TX in 2010, and my master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX in 2013. I began my journey in La Porte ISD as a 5th grade math and science teacher. My first year as a classroom teacher I was named District Rookie Teacher of the Year. My family transitioned to The Woodlands/Montgomery area where I continued teaching and serving as a leader district wide. In addition to my teaching and administrative credentials, I am certified in the areas of special education along with English as a second language. My duties have included curriculum writing, developing a special education program for students who struggle with behavior, mentoring new teachers and seasoned teachers.
Throughout my journey, it has been a privilege to work alongside amazing educators, supportive families, and inspiring students. My focus has always been on building strong relationships, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring that every decision made is student center. I believe in raising the bar for myself, my students, my teachers, and all stakeholders. When you “shoot for the moon, you will land among the stars.”
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and staying active. I absolutely love fashion but equally love fishing and all outdoor activities. I believe this school year will be filled with new experiences, and an abundance of student success. I look forward to connecting with each of you and working together to make this school year one of growth, achievement, and joy.
