About  Ms. Jaimes

  Hi, my name is Carina Jaimes. I've been a Community Youth Specialist (CYS) with Harris County since April of 2025. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Texas State University and I am also bilingual. My passion has always been to assist, give back, and advocate for my community. When I'm not assisting others, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, exploring new coffee shops, and being outdoors.

How CYS Can Help Your School:

• Provide crisis counseling & consultation on campus
• Provide resource and referrals for students, families and schools personnel
• Provide supportive counseling to students
• Provide basic needs/seasonal items as available
• Education and/or support groups (Grief, Social Skills, Behavioral & Anti-Bullying)
• Support for homeless population
• Serve as liaison between school and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services
• Serve as liaison between school and services of Harris County to include Juvenile Probation
• Assist families with voluntary facility placements outside of the home
• Make home visits

Who Can Refer Students to CYS?

Referrals can come from any school staff, parents, friend or from other agencies. In in doubt feel free to contact me and I will help any way I can.
