I have a Bachelor's Degree from Baylor University where I double majored in Political Science and Forensic Anthropology as well as completing my student teaching. I received my Masters Degree in Educational Administration through Texas A&M International University. I have previously worked in corporate training and as a Forensic Investigator for the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science where I worked heavily with training new investigators before switching careers to education. I have been in education for eleven years where I have worked with Elementary, Middle School and High School students. I have worked with Emergent Bilingual students through English as a Second Language and with Gifted and Talented program students. I have worked with Special Education students in both the general education and special education settings. I also worked as a Special Education Specialist where I worked closely with students to ensure academic success through federal program compliance and post-secondary transition. As the Student Support Administrator, I support students and staff to best meet the needs of our students. In my position, I support the students at both Bowie Elementary and De Zavala Elementary. I work collaboratively to build relationships with students, parents, staff and the community. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Chris and my son Cooper. I spend time with family going to my son's athletic events, going to the park, swimming and traveling.
