My name is Kayla McKinney. I have a bachelor's degree from The Florida State University (Go Noles!) and a master's degree in School Library and Information Science from Sam Houston State University. I spent 8 years teaching Theater, three years as a 4th grade teacher, and have been a librarian for the past 4 years. I am an avid reader, I am an orange belt in karate, and I love to craft. I am a huge Harry Potter Fan who adores Elephant and Piggie as well. My goal is to connect every student with a favorite book. I am looking forward to a great year exploring books and technology with your children!
Mission Statement
The mission of this library is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information and to promote a lifelong love of literature by maintaining a quality collection of age appropriate resources. As well as to provide opportunities for students to achieve their personal best and become productive citizens that embrace learning.
