About Mrs. Slack:
Mrs. Slack started out in education as a substitute teacher in August 1999. She graduated with a BS in education from Pittsburgh State University in May 2001 and began teaching 4th grade in August of that year. She’s taught all grade levels K -5th as a classroom teacher, Reading Intervention, Gifted & Talented, and Art Teacher. She attended Lamar University and graduated with a Master of Education in School Counseling in May 2015. Since then she has been a school counselor and student wellness interventionist. Mrs. Slack is also a National Board Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Registered Play Therapist.
Mrs. Slack is married, has 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. She grew up in Kansas but has lived in Texas since 2001. Her favorite thing to do is to be outside with her family. She enjoys camping, going to the lake, reading, Legos, and board games. She loves chocolate, Mexican food, and sunflowers.
