Boys' Soccer Meeting: Boys' Soccer will be hosting tryouts on November 29-30. There will be a mandatory meeting on November 16, in Coach Freeman's room E208. Anyone wanting to tryout must attend this meeting.
Girls' Soccer Tryouts: Any girls interested in trying out for this upcoming soccer season will need to have a physical and online athletic forms completed. Tryouts will be Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 29-30 from 3:30-6:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please see Coach Huizar in room SW209.
UIL Poetry & Prose: We will meet during lunches on Thursday, November 18, in the GCM Library.
Tournament Week! GCM's Math Club is hosting our semi-annual Tournament Week Fundraiser! Would you like to play table tennis or Super Smash Bros Ultimate for a chance to win a trophy and recognition as GCM's Best? Come sign up in Mr. Kang's room SW201! Table Tennis will be on Tuesday, Nov. 16 in the Choir room 601, and Super Smash Bros will be on Thursday, Nov. 18 in the Library. Entry is $5 for each event and this fundraiser helps pay for math contests and calculators for our State-winning Math Club each year. See any Math Club officer or Mr. Kang for more information.
Girls' Track: Any girl who is interested in participating in track needs to scan the QR code in the Athletic hallway. A complete current physical must be on file with the trainers.
Night of Worship: GCM's Christian Student Union is hosting a Night of Worship this Friday night, November 19. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome and admission is free. See you there!
Dugout Darlings: We will meet on December 1 in Mrs. Luna's room E214 right after school. Topics to be discussed: officers, t-shirts, and fundraisers. Bring your t-shirt designs. It is not too late to join. If you are interested, join us on December 1.
Boys' Basketball: The GCM Boys' Basketball season begins Tuesday night, November 16, vs. Cy Creek. Freshman A/B will play at 4:30, JV/Sophomore at 6:00, and Varsity at 7:30 p.m. come early, wear red & black, and be loud! Support the Patriots!
Memorial Theatre Company Auditions: Auditions for "The Book of Will" will be held on Monday, November 29, at 3:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. This is our competition show and we are looking for competitive, dedicated people! Please bring your most recent progress report.
Pizza Party Contest! Would you like to win a free pizza party for your 5th period class? The 9th grade Global Business Academy is collecting donations for Houston Pets Alive. We are looking for donations of Purina dog & cat food, toys, leashes, and collars. The 5th period class that raises the most donations will win a pizza party on December 3. Donations can be dropped off at W124 (with your 5th period teacher's name attached) or at your 5th period teacher's classroom. Donations will be accepted through November 30.
GCCISD Dance Premiere: The 4th annual GCCISD Dance Premiere will be Tuesday, November 16. All high school and junior school dance classes will be performing. The show will be held in the Lee HS Auditorium. High school students will perform at 6:00 p.m. and junior high students will perform at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.
