About Ms.Benard
Tori Benard is a southeast Texas native who has worked in Goose Creek for the last six years, spending time at all three traditional high schools. In 2019, she began a 4-year journey at Lee High School, where she was the reading intervention teacher, and then transitioned to 504 coordinator. Her journey then led her to Sterling High School, where she acted as the Freshmen assistant principal for two years.
Tori's why is to empower the adults who teach and interact with our students so that immediate and future academic and social success may be achieved on a wider scale. She seeks to engage with and support staff, students, families, and the Baytown community in a way that everyone's skills, talents, and input are leveraged to support the success of our students. Mrs. Benard reiterates that she aspires to the Goose Creek CISD's mission to develop the whole child.
Tori received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from McNeese State University. Her Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership and Principal's Certification were earned from Lamar University.
Her aspirations of becoming an academic dean were sparked several years ago during her time as an English instructional specialist. She is still in awe that those dreams have come to fruition and pledges to support all Patriot stakeholders in actualizing their dreams as well.
