Welcome to Goose Creek Memorial High School!
My name is Kathy Holland, and I am the proud principal of Goose Creek Memorial High School. I am happy to be back “home” at GCM, where I started teaching in our district in 2009.
From 2012 to 2017, I served Lee High School as an assistant principal and was the principal at Gentry Junior School from 2017 to 2021.
Our great campus and district have grown into a leading educational powerhouse. We have opportunities for all students to find their niche and experience a standard of excellence that results in individual and team success.
GCM opened in 2008; we have continued to elevate learning for approximately 2200 students.
We were named a National Model Business Academy by the National Career Academy Coalition and an AVID National Demonstration school. Dual Credit learning is strong, with students filling approximately 2200 seats in various courses. In addition, we have numerous fine arts, athletic, and academic accomplishments.
This year we celebrate our accountability ratings. GCM received an overall rating of B (87). In addition, we earned an A in School Progress and five distinctions in Math, Science, Comparative Academic Growth, Postsecondary Readiness, and Comparative Closing the Gaps.
As Patriots, we strive to bring unity, kindness, and positivity to our campus. We know there will be days that challenge us, but our staff and students continue to learn and grow with resiliency.
One School, One Dream, One Team
