March 6 - SAT Testing
SAT Exam: All juniors with a minimum of 12 credits will be taking the SAT exam on Wednesday, March 6. There will be no makeup days for the SAT School Day Exam! The SAT is a college readiness exam, but many colleges & universities across the United States also use the scores from this exam as college admissions criteria. If you do NOT want to take the SAT exam, stop by the Patriot Center to pick up an opt out form. Parents must sign the opt out form and return it to the Patriot Center by February 16.
Interact: Interact is having their monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 21, in Mr. Harris' room W220. We are going to discuss fun volunteer opportunities for the month of March! Everyone is welcome to join us!
Presidents Council: Our first Presidents Council meeting of the Spring Semester is on Thursday, February 22, from 3:20-4:15 p.m. in the Library.
Key Club: There will be a meeting on Thursday, February 22, at 7:25 a.m. in room E212.
PALS: Attention all current Sophomores and Juniors, please check your student email to see if you were nominated for the 2024-2025 PAL Program! Emails were sent out Friday, February 16th. If you received a nomination email, your next step is an interview on Tuesday, February 27th, so make sure you are prepared!
Cheer Tryouts: If you are interested in trying out for cheer or mascot for the 2024-2025 school year, there is a mandatory pre-tryout meeting on February 26 at 6:00 p.m. Both student and parent must attend. If you have questions, see Coach Runnels in E112 and Coach Johnson in W208.
U of H Physics Day: Are you interested in attending the University of Houston? Are you interested in Physics and Physics Research? Do you not have any plans for Saturday, February 24 and you are really bummed out? Then, we have got you covered. UH is hosting their Physics day on Saturday, February 24. If you would like to attend, please see Mr. McGregory in Room SW121 to obtain a permission slip for the trip.
