Senior News

Panoramic Pictures will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30. Please bring payment to purchase and receive photographs on Tuesday, Oct. 31 during lunches. Make checks payable to "Goldbeck Company" (please include phone number on all checks). Price packages:

  • $25.00 = Panoramic
  • $35.00 = Large laminated panoramic & one medium panoramic
  • $45.00 = Large laminated panoramic, one medium panoramic, & one medium '18 formation


GCM Theater Proudly Presents Charlotte's Web this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00 p.m., Oct. 26-38, at Goose Creek Memorial High School's Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $7.50 for Adults, $5.00 for Students/Seniors, and Free for Children 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.gcmtheatre.com. This year our children's show features 25 GCCISD Elementary and Junior High School students. 


Congratulations to the GCM Patriot Band! This past Saturday, the band traveled to Channelview to compete in the UIL Region 19 Marching Contest where they received a 1st Division rating!


#patriotstrong: Spirit Club will be painting faces for Pink Out during lunches on Thursday! You must come during your lunch, not during a passing period. We will also be collecting donations for Relay for Life and selling our limited edition spirit buttons for $2 each. Stop and see us! Real Patriots wear Pink!

#patriotstrong: A new shipment of Patriot Strong shirts has arrived. Please see Mrs. Davis in room E139 to get your shirt. 100% of the proceeds go to help members of our own GCM family who were hit hard by Harvey. Shirts are $10 each. As soon as we sell out, we can start sharing the relief. We will also take a picture with everyone who purchased a shirt. 

#patriotstrong: This week's pep rally is PINK OUT! Each class needs to nominate a PINKED OUT representative to be dressed from head to toe in pink. We will have a contest to see who is the PINKEST! Students, you can nominate teachers and students. Let Mrs. Jacobs know your representatives before the Thursday pep rally. The prize will be a Patriot Strong t-shirt. Let's PINK OUT!

#teamcarmody: TEAM CARMODY shirts are now on sale  through this Friday. Shirts must be pre-ordered including payment to either Mrs. Cheshire in W109 or Mrs. Himsel in W102. This year we are PURPLE for a PURPOSE as we support Mrs. Carmody in her fight against pancreatic cancer. We will take a purple ribbon photo in November, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, so be sure to order your shirt this week. 

Boys' Basketball: Try-outs will be Saturday, October 28, 9:00-10:00 a.m. You must present a current physical and proof of current passing grades. Bring your own shoes and athletic clothes. See Coach Ebow in the gym for questions or more info.

Crime Stoppers: We have awarded our first cash tip of the year. We are always looking for TIPS on theft, drugs, weapons, bullying, and students in crisis. Help keep GCM safe! Text or call 281.427.TIPS.

Dual Credit 2018-2019: 

  • Any 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student interested in taking dual credit next school year must fill out the Dual Credit Interest Form by Friday, Oct. 20.
  • Look for the QR code around the building. Scan it to go to the form.
  • Beginning Oct. 23 - students will be called to the library to complete an Apply Texas account and a Lee College Dual Credit application.
  • There are several steps that must be completed in order to enroll in dual credit. These steps must be completed by Friday, Oct. 27. Students can do this on their own, any time after they fill our the interest form.
  • If you do not fill out the form, you may miss out on the opportunity to take dual credit next year.
  • If you have questions, stop by the College and Career Center.

FFA: The annual Meat Sale Fundraiser is on now! Please find a FFA member or an Ag teacher to order your meat products. Thank you for your support!

 Girls' Basketball: Hey, Patriots!! The Lady Patriot Basketball Program is selling basketball t-shirts. If you would like to order one, stop by Coach Moore's room in SW100 or Coach K's room in W244 to pick up an order form. All shirt orders are due by October 27th. Thank you for your support!  

Girls Soccer: The girls' soccer players are selling coupon books. If you are interested in helping out, you can see a team member or Coach Huizar in SW209. Also, if you are not in girls' soccer athletics, but are considering trying out this season, you need to see Coach Huizar in SW209 prior to tryouts!

Spirit Club: Meeting Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. in Mrs. Davis' room E139. See you there! Gooooo Patriots!!!

Student Council: There will be a Student Council meeting on Monday, Oct. 23 in SW113. We will discuss the Giving Tree project and upcoming committee projects!
