Seniors

Local Scholarship Opportunity: There is another Local Scholarship available for Seniors! The Highlands Lynchburg Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is open to all GCCISD Seniors! You must provide the GCCISD Local Scholarship Application and Essay, plus an additional application and essay. You need to request your transcript in the College & Career Center by 3:00 p.m on April 4th. The deadline to turn in your folder is 3:00 p.m. on April 16. No late applications will be taken. Any questions? See Mrs. Haggerty in the C&CC.

ACT - Juniors: If you have 16 or more credits and have not yet filled in the non-test portion of the ACT scantron, please see Mrs. Mitchell in the College & Career Center by no later than 1:00 p,m. on Monday, April 2.

 

Gay/Straight Alliance: The next meeting is on April 4 at 3:00 p.m. in SW205. Please arrive a little early as we have guest speakers from Lee College coming to talk to us about a variety of subjects. This club is for everyone, no matter who you are! Everyone is wanted - Everyone is welcome!

 

Global Business Academy: We have our picture made for the yearbook on Wednesday, April 4, during 3rd period. You must have your Global Business Academy shirt on to participate. List for the announcement at 9:40 a.m. and come to the West stairwell. 

 

Relay for Life: April 6th! It is time to order your Relay for Life shirt. See Mrs. Glaspie in room E234 to pre-order your 2018 Relay for Life shirt. We will have a limited number of shirts available once they come in, so pre-order your shirt today!

 

Student Council: There will be a meeting on Monday, April 2, in room SW113. We will discuss the Spring Semester and Class Officer Elections. If you are interested in running for Class Office for the 2018-2019 school year, you must attend this meeting. We will go over the election process and election packets.

 

Seniors - Patriot Revue: Seniors, auditions for emcee for the Patriot Revue will take place on Tuesday, April 3, and Wednesday, April 4, at 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the Theater classroom 506. As a Patriot Revue emcee, you will act as the hosts and stars of the talent show. Audition forms are available on the GCM Theatre call board on Main Street.

 

Patriot Revue: Auditions are open to all grade levels and will take place on Tuesday, April 10, and Wednesday, April 11, 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. Each act needs to sign up for an audition time on the GCM Theatre call board on Main Street. While at the call board, pick up an audition form to bring with you to the audition. Let's show off all the amazing talent GCM has to offer!

 

Volleyball: If you are interested in trying out for the volleyball program or being a manager for the upcoming fall season, please attend the mandatory after-school meeting at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4th, in the Competition Gym. You will receive crucial information at this meeting.
